Lady Captains Trip 2007 - Longridge Golf Club Tuesday 12th June 2007

The Lady Captain and the ladies had a wonderful day at Longridge Golf Club. As can be seen in the photograph (right), Lady Captain had to lead the way in the morning due low cloud/mist. On some parts of the course visibility was down to as little as 50 yards. This did not deter the Lobden Ladies and they all soldiered on!! However, when they arrived back at the clubhouse, they were informed by the Club Professional that he had tried to find them on the course to cancel our game due to the poor visibility on H&S reasons, but couldn't find them!!

Happily the sun appeared later and the ladies had a very enjoyable 18 hole game in the afternoon.

Ladies Opening Day - Tuesday 27 March 2007 - A fine, sunny day with a slight breeze.

The Lady Captain asked the ladies to pause for a moment and try to imagine playing the course 90-100 years ago. The ladies who played would then have played in their crinoline dresses -they must have been very hardy ladies indeed.

Once again the ladies were served a delicious meal, with first class service from the wonderful men's section, provided by Chief Chef Mr John Keate and his helpers Mr Barry Harrison, Mr Phil Harwood, Mr Martin Adey, Mr Alec Gibbons, Mr Kevin Ramsden and his daughter Chloe

The Lady Captain wished everyone an enjoyable season.
